Traditional devices such as the Boston brace apply pressure points to the ribs and trunk, designed to resist the curve from progressing further. They are passive containment devices.

The ScoliBrace Assessment and Fitting Process

ScoliBrace is not an off-the-shelf device. It cannot be purchased independently or fitted by a general practitioner. The process from initial enquiry to wearing a finished brace involves a clinical assessment, a 3D scanning session, a custom fabrication period, and a fitting appointment.

Step 1 - Comprehensive Scoliosis Assessment

Step 2 - 3D Body Scan

Once ScoliBrace is confirmed, a 3D full-body scan is performed at the clinic. The scan captures the patient's complete postural profile. The data is uploaded to the ScoliBrace CAD system.

Step 3 - Custom Fabrication and Fitting

The approved brace design is sent to a specialist fabrication facility. Fabrication typically takes 2–4 weeks. At the fitting appointment, Dr. Chiwona checks the fit in detail and makes any necessary adjustments.
